What’s the difference between “Man with a Van” and “Removals”?

Man with a Van is a flexible, hourly service from £45/hr — ideal for small flats, single items, student moves, or store pickups. Our Removals service is the full package for whole-house moves: a larger crew, high-capacity Luton vans, and full loading, protection and reassembly.

Can I book a same-day move with Van Hero?

Often, yes. We accommodate short-notice and same-day bookings subject to crew and van availability. Use our online quote tool for an instant price, or call us for urgent jobs..

What size vans do you offer?

Our fleet ranges from small transit vans for single items to 3.5-tonne Luton vans with tail lifts for large family homes. For bigger moves we can send multiple vehicles or a 7.5-tonne truck..

Do you work weekends, and how far do you cover?

We're a Coventry-based team covering the city and the whole U. We work 7 days a week, including weekends, and we'll happily take longer-distance moves anywhere in the UK on request.

Will you dismantle and reassemble my furniture?

Yes. We take apart beds, wardrobes and flat-pack furniture, move them safely, and rebuild them in your new home as standard. Full or partial packing can be added to your booking too.

Can I travel in the van with the driver?

In most cases, yes — many of our vans have a spare passenger seat. Just let us know in advance so we can keep a seat free for you.

Do you handle office and commercial relocations?

Yes. We run seamless office moves — IT equipment, furniture and archives — and work evenings and weekends to keep your business downtime to a minimum.

What items are you unable to transport?

For safety and legal reasons we can't move hazardous materials (flammable liquids, chemicals, gas canisters), perishables, or live animals. If you're unsure about a specific item, just ask.

How do I pay, and will I get an invoice?

You can pay securely online by card, and an invoice is emailed to you as soon as the job is complete. For larger commercial moves we also accept bank transfer.

What if my move is delayed or I need to reschedule?

We keep rescheduling flexible. Give us at least 24–48 hours' notice and you can change your date free of charge. Cancellations inside [24] hours may carry a charge as set out in our terms.

Booking is simple. Use our online quote tool, select your service level, and choose a date. We require a small deposit to secure the van and crew for your specific slot.
